Dr. Sonia KollassaDr. Sonia Kollassa was born in Edmonton, Alberta and raised on a grain farm in Ardrossan, Alberta. She attended the University of Alberta for pre-veterinary courses and transferred to the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon to study for her veterinary degree, graduating in 1992. After completeing a year internship in Equine Surgery, she joined the Lloydminster Animal Hospital team in June 1993. She maintains a special interest in the equine portion of our practice.
Dr. Kollassa is married to Dr. Hanley and is currently dividing her time between practice and caring for son Kelton, born in February 2002, and daughter Kamryn, born in January 2005. Winters you will find her in a hockey rink and summers at the lake.
