Dr. Becky MitchellDr. Becky Mitchell was raised on a cattle farm just south of Kitscoty. After 2 years of undergraduate studies at the University of Saskatchewan, Dr. Mitchell was accepted into the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. In 2000, she graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with Great Distinction.
Dr. Mitchell worked in Fort Macleod and Ponoka before spending 1.5 years abroad, working as a food animal veterinarian in New Zealand. Dr. Mitchell joined the Lloydminster Animal Hospital in 2005. Dr. Mitchell is married to Dustin Newman, who hails from Hillmond. Together they share a love for travelling, exploring the outdoors, and a variety of sports, especially hockey. They have a very energetic dog named Lucy, and snuggly cat named Morag
