Dr. Taryn Schachtel (nee Holtby) was born and raised near Lloydminster on a mixed cattle and grain farm near Marshall. She graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012 and began working at the Lloydminster Animal Hospital in May, 2012.

She works with all species, but does have a special interest in large animals, especially horses!

When not at work Taryn loves to spend time with her two kids- Resch and Lyndi, ride horses, curl competitively, run and work on the farm..
